An Emmy for SOTU
The Creative Arts Emmy Awards were handed out last night, and State of the Union has picked up its first Emmy. Sally Craven and Matthew Mungle have won for Makeup for a Single-Camera Series, Non-Prosthetic (episode 2). Congratulations to them both as they (presumably) get ready to apply their handiwork for season 2 of SOTU.

Emmy Nominations are out, and a trip to Israel
Well, the Emmy Award nominations have been announced, and the news is good and bad. State of the Union picked up 3 nominations, all in technical categories:
In other news, according to YNet, Tracey is going to Israel on July 21 to promote State of the Union. Let's hope things remain quiet over there while she's there (I hope for that all the time, of course). I wonder if she'll make it up to Haifa and 'Akká....
- Hairstyling for a Single-Camera Series (Martin Samuel) (episode 4)
- Makeup for a Single-Camera Series, Non-Prosthetic (Sally Craven and Matthew Mungle) (episode 2)
- Prosthetic Makeup for a Series, Miniseries, Movie or Special (Sally and Matthew again) (episode 4)

Trailer for The Tale of Despereaux
When I went to see Wall-E at my local theater last Friday, one of the trailers was for The Tale of Despereaux, which is due out around Christmas. It's an animated film with an all-star cast, of which Tracey is a part. I believe her character was in the trailer, but I'm not positive of that; there is a scene in which Despereaux the mouse is closing the mouth of a screaming girl/woman, a scream which sounded a bit familiar to me.
This will probably be the next project we see (actually hear) her in, though I hope we have reason to see her at the Emmys in September.
