Watch TTUS at the MBC
Feel like watching an episode of The Tracey Ullman Show -- a full episode, and legitimately? Well, you can do so at the website for the Museum of Broadcast Communications. Some of the material in the museum's archives are available for viewing online, and one of those clips happens to be a complete episode of TTUS. The archive listing says it's the episode from April 19, 1987 (the episode that saw the first appearance of the Simpsons), but it's actually the one from the week before, April 12. The episode appears exactly as it was broadcast nearly 20 years ago, including commercials and promos.
A year or so ago, the museum was looking for episodes of TTUS to add to its archives (they had none) and came to me for assistance. From my collection, I provided DVD's of the first few and last few episodes so that future generations will be able to watch, study and learn from Tracey's first US series. Until such time as Fox sees fit to issue TTUS on DVD (or allows another company to do so), or until some channel decides to air it again, the MBC will be your best bet to watch the show.
